We are Qualified
We are members of NARI, and maintain an A+ rating with the BBB. We are also certified in lead safe practices and asbestos. All our employees and subcontractors are insured for your protection. GMH Construction is also a licensed building contractor with the state of Wisconsin.
These qualifications mean you can rest assured that GMH Construction is a reputable company, that will stand by its work, and abide with all government regulations and industry best practices..
Our Reputation
Much of our business comes from referrals and repeat business – so we go to great lengths to maintain our reputation. We aren’t satisfied with a project until you are.
We can provide you with references after our initial proposal. You can also read some of the feedback we’ve received on our testimonials pages.
We are Experienced
Experience matters. If you want your project to be on time, on budget, and completed to a high-quality standard – you need to hire a contractor who knows what they are doing.
Greg and Dane have a combined experience of over 55 years in the residential construction industry and have worked on a wide range and variety of projects. This experience means that GMH can prepare accurate bids and plans for both time and cost. Many of the stereotypes of contractors always being late and over budget are largely the result of poor planning from inexperienced contractors. Remodeling is a very complex process- and it takes many years to fully master it.
Over the years, we’ve developed robust step-by-step processes for the entire remodeling process from concept through full completion.
Locally Owned & Operated
GMH is proud to have deep ties to the Pewaukee and Southeast Wisconsin area.
We use local building material suppliers, and local subcontractors with whom we’ve had relationships for many years.
Our local sourcing results in better quality for you and with minimal hassle.
Excellent Value
When you get multiple estimates from contractors, you are likely to get a wide-range of prices. For the responses on the low end- ask yourself why? What are you not getting from this contractor, relative to the higher-priced alternatives? We can tell you that often the low-priced bids ultimately end up being the most expensive over the long term. Expensive change orders once the project starts; poor workmanship or materials resulting in early life failure; inexperienced contractors abandoning a project mid-stream; finding out the contractor was unlicensed & uninsured after the fact; and the list goes on.
We make the most of your hard-earned dollars in several ways. First, by doing quality work that lasts, we ensure you don’t penny-pinch now, at the expense of being pound-foolish over the longer term. Second, because we are a one-stop shop for most of your needs, we can realize significant savings for you vs having to hire multiple specialist contractors. Third, our one year warranty means that we’ll fix any workmanship issues for you, free of charge (even the best technicians will make occasional mistakes). And finally – because we are licensed and maintain full insurance coverage – you are financially protected in case something catastrophic goes wrong.
Communication
Poor communication is a common homeowner complaint about contractors.
We know how important it is to be easy-to-reach. That is why we have implemented a secure online tool to help track communications and topics. Sending a message can be done over email, using the online tool, or by calling either Dane or Greg directly.
Respectful Employees
A remodeling project can be a significant intrusion to your home and lifestyle. With that in mind, we’ve trained our employees and subcontractors to clean up daily, show up on time, to be appropriate around children/ your family, and to be willing to answer any question that arises.
We also only send workers to your home who are either GMH employees, or from trusted subcontractors with whom we have established relationships.
Every Step of the Way
When the job transitions from Greg to Dane for onsite project management, they complete a thorough walk-through of the project and cover the requirements in the specifications sheets. Both Dane and Greg are available to discuss questions and concerns at every step of the project.
GMH coordinates all materials and subcontractors, so you don’t have to.
Flexible to the Project
We’ve developed standardized processes over the years- but understand that each project and client has unique needs: so we are very flexible.
Quality Workmanship & Materials
As a licensed contractor, and long standing member of several trade associations- we will always complete your project to code and to the highest industry practices, using quality materials.
We will also always give our very best to meet each client’s quality standards. As mentioned earlier- we value your referrals, and can only get them by ensuring you are completely satisfied with all aspects of your project: cost, schedule, and quality.
