Modern updates and changes to layout greatly improved the flow, function, and feel in this kitchen. Sophisticated and elegant selections make this an ideal space for entertaining friends and spending time together as a family.
The goal of this remodel was to build a kitchen that exudes style and creates functional space for a family full of people who love to cook and bake. An additional 32 square feet of space and an improved layout was needed to transform the formerly cramped room with eat in dining into this customer’s “dream” kitchen.
The counter top and cabinet layout and design were well thought-out to provide separate functional zones for cooking, baking, food prep and clean up. This zone design provides plenty of room for five different family members to be in the kitchen cooking and working at the same time. The Dignity Blue with vintage sand island in the center of the room adds a fun pop of color while the seashell white glazed cabinets and light grey subway tile back splash give the room a warm and inviting feel.
The kitchen and dining area in this condo underwent a complete transformation to open up the space and allow a full view of the lake from the front door through the sun room. The redesigned area also improves workflow and accessibility for the homeowners. Updates include an eat-at island, corner pantry, and matching buffet for added storage.
To give this kitchen a more open feeling, the overhead cabinets between the dining area and kitchen were removed. A small refrigerator was also added to the backside of the cabinets for quick access to beverages from the deck.
Stunning improvements in this 1970’s ranch home included opening up the cramped kitchen and adding a dramatic eat-at island. The transformation also involved expanding the garage entry, new acacia hardwood flooring, and knotty alder cabinets.
