New Berlin Open-Concept Remodel

What was once a series of separated spaces is now a cohesive and inviting main floor tailored to the needs of a busy family. The remodel centered around opening the kitchen to the former dining room, creating a more connected layout that improves traffic flow and encourages gathering. A large central island now anchors the kitchen, offering generous prep space, seating, and a natural place for family and guests to come together.
One of the standout features of the remodel is the dramatic wall of pantry storage and built-in cabinetry surrounding the refrigerator. By removing a walled-in pantry and rethinking the layout, the GMH team was able to provide significantly more storage while also creating a beautiful focal point within the kitchen. After opening the space, the team discovered additional support was needed for the second floor. GMH seamlessly incorporated the required support column into the cabinetry design, preserving the intended look while keeping the project moving forward smoothly.
