Basement Remodeling Cost
Basement finishing will cost anywhere from $40,000 to $60,000, or more depending on the size of the basement. Additions like a bar or bathroom will increase the total cost of the project. Like any other home remodeling project, prices will increase with the quality of materials used to finish the basement. The more walls and upgraded trim details the higher the price per sq. ft. will be.

What is a ¾ Bath?
A 3/4 bath in a basement remodel assumes a 45 square foot bathroom including a vanity, toilet, shower stall with full frame glass door, and flooring. Whether the drains are pre-roughed & the level of cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, and tile will affect the final price.
What is a dry/wet bar?
A Base-Level Beverage Center consists of 7’-8’ of cabinetry and countertops. A Standard-Level Wet Bar includes the same as the Base-level except it adds a sink/faucet and an island or peninsula section for bar stools. A Premium-Level wet bar is a more customized space for gatherings including multiple appliances and high-end finishes. Bar areas are very hard to estimate until a final design is established.
Bathroom Remodeling Cost
Bathroom remodeling with a professional home remodeling company in Wisconsin will cost $21,000 to $50,000 or more depending on the size and scope of the project. Using premium quality materials and products (sinks, countertops, cabinets, etc.) will raise the price of the project.

The difference between Base, Standard, and Premium bathroom remodels
- Base: Includes builder-grade basic fixtures and cabinets. The flooring will be ceramic tile or basic vinyl. All walls and fixtures remain in the same spot they were previously. The bathroom countertops will be cultured marble or onyx.
- Standard: Includes upgraded plumbing fixtures and cabinet upgrades such as full overlay doors, painted cabinets, and soft-close drawers. Countertops may be quartz or granite. The flooring may include Luxury Vinyl Tile or ceramic tile. A standard bathroom remodel may include some minor wall modifications or minor moving of fixtures and/or appliances.
- Premium: Includes higher-end countertops, plumbing fixtures, and cabinetry compared to the base and standard options. Premium remodels may include more significant wall/window modifications or moving of fixtures. The bathroom may include natural stone tile on the shower walls and floor.
Cost of Home Additions and Whole House Remodels
Due to the many pricing factors involved in quoting a home addition or a full home remodeling project in Wisconsin, it is difficult to accurately estimate the cost without all the details. It’s recommended to enter into a design agreement with GMH Construction prior to entering into a construction contract. A design agreement will allow us to come up with an intelligent design so we can accurately estimate the full cost of the project beforehand. Our prices are fixed – once you get the official quote, our price won’t change.
