Waukesha Bathroom Refresh
This Waukesha bathroom remodel transformed an outdated space into a warm, modern retreat while maintaining the home’s original layout and character. One of the most noticeable changes in the remodel was replacing the original tub deck with a sleek alcove tub. This simple yet impactful update streamlined the space and introduced cleaner lines that immediately modernized the room. The warm wall color, natural wood tones, and coordinated finishes create an inviting atmosphere that balances comfort with sophistication.
The shower was refreshed while maintaining its existing footprint, allowing the homeowners to keep a layout that already worked well for their daily routine. New tile surrounds the shower walls, accented by a decorative horizontal tile band that adds texture and visual interest throughout the space. A built-in niche provides practical storage, while the integrated bench creates added comfort and functionality. Coordinating materials on the shower bench, curb, and vanity countertops help tie the entire room together with a cohesive, polished look.
Storage was another important focus of the remodel. A tall linen cabinet added beside the tub provides convenient space for towels and bathroom essentials while maintaining the clean, uncluttered feel of the room. The custom vanity offers additional storage below with raised-panel cabinet doors carefully selected to coordinate with the home’s original wood doors and trim.
Throughout the project, GMH Construction worked to ensure the updated finishes blended naturally with the rest of the home. Existing trim and doors were preserved, allowing the remodel to feel intentional and connected rather than disconnected from surrounding spaces. Brushed nickel plumbing fixtures and hardware introduce a subtle modern touch while complementing the home’s existing finishes.
Large-format floor and shower tile brighten the room and create a more open feel, while the frameless glass shower enclosure enhances visibility throughout the space and showcases the custom tilework. Natural light from the skylight and window further softens the space, helping the bathroom feel calm, open, and relaxing.
